This is was the first male lion I ever met. We were in Grumetti in the Serengeti and this 6 year old male was very special–he was missing part of his right back leg. You can see the stump, the result of being caught in a trap outside the park. Amazing that he was still doing well, albeit a little thin. His pride was still supporting him as clearly his hunting abilities are challenged.
Adaptation at its finest.
My dream growing up was to perform here.
